Rather than continue my praise of their younger daughter, Valentina, who cooked alongside them at small, local hotel, I sat back with the luxury of eyes narrowing in the island sun. Valentina’s food was no match for the international restaurant scene of her older match for the international.

The new employee onboarding process

Before Learning about the new employee onboarding process, I never thought it was a really important process. It is not a simply checklist of tasks or requirements. I think it is one of the biggest challenges companies and employers face today. This socialization technique helps new employees to get more knowledge, skills and behaviors to become effective employee members, to make them familiar with the overall goals of the company and support them as they start early projects quickly.

Therefore, successful onboarding program lead to positive outcomes for new employees such as higher job satisfaction, better job performance, greater organizational commitment and encourage workers to stay with an organization for a longer tenure. I think that the more quickly employees are integrated into their new jobs; the faster companies will achieve returns for their employer. This interaction will engage, motivate and keep new hires on board.

Effective Groups

In organization, most work is done within groups; therefore, how groups functions or how effective group is have important consequence for organizational productivity. Groups where people work together, feel the desire to support their team, and are capable of coordinating their efforts may have high performance levels.

However, managers face a lot pressures on their organizations every day which are demanding in the global, and a corporate environment. Due to the pressure on organizations disruption, conflict, and chaos exist in the life of a company. For organization and groups who understand that these disruptions represent opportunities for innovation and creativity. They have to face new challenges of our business world. Eisenhardt, Khawaja, and Bourgeois III (1997) notice that “the challenge is to encourage members of management teams to argue without destroying their ability to work together” (p.78) there is the main point, managers have a lot pressure to catch improve quality, become more flexible, reduce management costs and improve the working environment for employees: nevertheless, how management team has to be flexible and adaptable to change.

Why I love a cup of Coffee!!!

I would to enjoy with you one of my favorite beverage. It is the coffee.  The coffee is brewed beverage, which has an especial aroma and flavor. The coffee is prepared from roasted seeds.  This seed is like cherries color and shape. It is one of the most-consumed beverages in the world.

My interested in the coffee is because my father’s family has cultivated coffee for three generations.  My father has continued with the family tradition. I think that the coffee is part of my childhood, and I also have kept this aroma in my memory.  When I have the opportunity to know a new country or city, or place, I like to drink a cup of black coffee. I think that it is a good way to enjoy and know the place.  Each aroma and taste of the coffee depend the geographic location of the crops.
I would like to recommend trying Arabic, Italian,
Costa Rican, or Colombian coffee. They are well known, but Venezuelan coffee is really good, we have a famous song “Moliendo CafĂ©” (grounding coffee) by Hugo Blanco.

Nowadays, we can see how many new Coffee places are like a driver to attract new customers. These places are related with the coffee; for example, in Mozart’s Coffee, you can appreciate when the roasted seeds are grounded.  Also, Starbucks, Caffe Medici, the Coffee Beans and Tea Leaf are places where you can enjoy the environment and you can work or read a book. They are great places to enjoy the moment.
However, if you like to ground the roasted beans by yourself go to Central Market, it has a special spot which a huge variety of the roasted seeds from different part of the world.

Finally, I would to invite you to drink a cup of black coffee!!!!!!!
I believe that it is a good excuse to enjoy a moment with our friends!!!!!

Spices

I would like writing about the spices. I think spices have been well known around the world and also in most part of countries they are part of special culture. The spices have old story. Some articles explain that spices were high priced commodities.  The initial international trade was between Europa, Indian and China. Merchant transported in a large bulk in order to justify the expense. Especially Europa bought a lot mounts of spices. The spices are an important ingredient into the countries tradition. Most countries have their traditional spices. For example, Indian food has always been present in their recipes, such as the curry. It is a dark yellow spice with deeply tasty flavor, and smell.

I think that spices are really interested because they are part of our daily food, and memories. According to Wikipedia “The spice is a dried seed, fruit, root, bark, or vegetable substance primarily used for flavoring, coloring or preserving food. Sometimes a spice is used to hide other flavors.” There are some examples of the species Bridgeport Seasoning: Curry Powder, Thai, Garden Salad Seasoning, Pepper, Ground, Salt, and Porcini. The species have been well known business. Today we can see many groceries store as Central Market, Whole food. These groceries stores have a special section for spices. I remember in Turkey the famous the Spices Market.

Moreover, spice may have other uses, including medicinal, religious ritual, cosmetics or perfume production, or as a vegetable. For example, turmeric roots are consumed as a vegetable and garlic as an antibiotic. Ginger used for cough. Most of these are present in our memories. For example, one deep memory that comes to my mind is the smell of paella in the house. I remember her drawers of seasonings and spices whose smell fully impregnated the kitchen and the pantry. She used natural, fresh ingredients and a lot of seasoning and spices; therefore, the test of her food was also unforgettable.

Venezuelan Arepas

My banquet that I will serve is the Venezuelan Arepa. I think that food is a part of culture and a very tasty way for us to get an insight into a country’s culinary world, and it is also the best way of showing interest for a new culture and getting to know it a little better.

I would like starting that Arepa has its origins hundreds of years ago, cooked by the various indigenous tribes across the country. The Arepa has its name from the word Erepa, the indigenous word for this corn bread. What was initially made with fresh corn, but today is usually made using pre-cooked white corn flour.
The Arepa represents Venezuelans' daily bread. It is eaten across the country, across all socio-economic groups, at all times of day. Arepas can also be grilled or deep-fried. The fillings vary and there are no set rules. However, there are some different types of filling that have now become tradition:
  • The Pelu’a : shredded skirt steak and cheese.
  • The Reina Pepeada : chicken salad with creamy avocado.
  • The Pernil : pork.
  • The chiken : sauteed chicken and cheese.
  • The simple cheese: butter or cream cheese.

Food is powerful in many ways, so don’t be afraid to eat your way through culture shock!

My Home !!!

I would like describing my apartment, which is an apartment complex, located in south west Austin. This condominium is inside the Greenbelt whose landscape is really beautiful. It has a great location with easy access to main arteries like Mopac and Ben White to reach shopping, dining, and entertainment, just moments away. I think that this place, whose ideal location provides an escape from the city life, is just minutes from Austin downtown. Moreover, the apartment decoration offers a warm environment. It has a big couch from which I watch TV every night. Moreover, it has a cedar wood dining table where I spend a lot time doing my homework. It has two bedrooms, a living room, a dining room, and a kitchen, all of which have an amazing view of the greenbelt. The dining room and balcony are divided by two big window doors. I think the balcony, which has a birdhouse, two outdoor seats and a table, is my favorite place, in which I spend my most of my time reading.
