The importance of Business Writing
Excellent Writing skills are of prime importance in the business world. This communication skill is required from a simple job advertisement. For example, Cenedella requires for a Financial Analyst position: “Excellent communication skill, both oral and writing” and a Manager position: “Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills. A proven ability to present to all levels of management”
Therefore, excellent writing skills are mandatory on our business career advancement. Business professionals need excellent writing skills to report, inform, and notify ideas, set of circumstances, positions, and outcomes. It is well known that managers have to report bad and good news to their higher levels in a very professional, comprehensive and informative way, and all financial reports answering the reader’s questions before he/she has time to ask. When I working in Venezuela, the effective channel of communication to corporate headquarter in the US was written communication such as emails, and financial reports.
